A Team Commitment
Safety in school bus transportation is a team commitment. To this, our safety training extends beyond school bus drivers alone to include: aides, mechanics, dispatchers, supervisors, and any others who may be a part of the school transportation continuum. In addition, our supervisors work closely with school districts, parents and caregivers so that all constituencies are on the same page.
Employment Screening
We carefully interview and investigate each candidate. Additionally, they must pass a criminal history check, motor vehicle records review, drug screen, and pass a detailed medical exam.
We monitor all drivers to assure they have current certifications and up to date credentials, and provide additional training that exceeds state driver re-certification standards.
Daily Vehicle Inspections
Our drivers are well versed in vehicle inspections. Pre-trip inspections are conducted prior to every route to ensure the vehicle is safe and ready for students. Post trip inspections are conducted after every route, as well, to ensure all students have disembarked and have left no personal items behind.
